Poem#3 Can We Hope For Love Eternal

Can We Hope For Love Eternal

Who knows what's love indeed?

An unsullied sentiment – a frugal deed –

A tempest of heart – clash of impulses –

A fruit of loyalty or a moment's need.

The first flicker of love when you fall

Head over heels, and install

A brand new heart dancing euphorically,

To love and to be loved, breaks down every wall.

The newest glossy blush of crush

New me, new earth, everything new

Is crushed soon by routine rush,

And veils behind grayish hue.

Over the time that just-fell-in-love feeling

Evolves, stabilizes, charges, long lasts

Delves emotions into healing,

Journey is filled with cheer-blasts.

Time flies by when you two are together

And crawls like a snail after seeing off.

Envy wants to care and be cared;

But as trust grows, worries tend to fade.

Love as an amateurish pastime,

Prompted by impulse not by rhyme,

Bursts at the loss of a penny, is parted

Like oil separates water within no time.

True love truly makes you agreeable

With disagreements of your love-pull,

Inseparable as water from milk,

Fastens the bond – is wonderful.

Can we hope for love eternal?

Detached from worldly restraints several,

Bond of pious hearts that can

Bury the convention to flourish the vernal.
